ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
rebuilding the social contract: policy, power, and the public good
Across the country, the systems that protect our most vulnerable communities are being dismantled. Social safety nets are shrinking. Policies that took decades to build are being undone. But within this crisis lies an extraordinary opportunity. The political pendulum will swing back, and when it does, we must be ready. Macro United 2027 brings together social work educators, students, and practitioners to prepare for that moment, to share research, sharpen our advocacy, and lay the groundwork for rebuilding systems that are stronger, more equitable, and more resilient than what came before. The future of the social contract depends on what we do now.Join us June 3 through 5 in Chicago.
